Design Parquet and Bespoke wood-blocks range

Wood You Like specialises in installing 'old-fashion' design parquet/herringbone flooring. 
This type of floor is really 'designed' at your home. A parquet floor can exist out of more than 1500 single wood blocks, all with their own warm character and is block by block installed to create an unique wooden flooring. 

In our showroom we can show you our Parquet Design floors in various patterns and wood-types. For our display we have selected 9 different patterns in large sample boards (from 550-550mm to 800-12000mm), large enough to give you the best impression of the design. For a first impression in the comfort of your own home, you can request the Design Parquet Range leaflet filled with as many interior design images as we could find (and in various wood-species, every design can be made in any wood species our Design Parquet Manufacturer carries).

In total we can supply you with over 30 "standard" design parquet patterns, from herringbone to elaborate "Versailles-style" tiles.

Most of the patterns come in hand pre-fabricated tiles stuck on paper to make the installation process more efficient (and of course to not to ruin the pattern!)

After installation this paper is sanded off, tiny gaps are filled and the appropriate finish is applied. Some patterns will be installed from scratch at your premises (like herringbone, chevron, plait, basket weave).

The selection in wood-types is almost endless, from European Oak (various grades), American Red Oak, Maple to Afzelia, American Walnut and Teak. Most wood types are from well managed forest complying with the P.E.F.C. standards. The thickness is either 6.2 or 9mm.
All patterns can be installed as complete floors, or as accentuating tiles within a simpler pattern. In our Design Parquet Range leaflet you will find high resolution images of most wood-species available.

Old Manor Double Smoked and oiled natural

The latest addition to our Design Parquet range: "Old Manor" Oak Rustic

Edge-Distressed Oak 10mm wood bocks with T&G, prefinished with natural oil or colour oil. Available in "natural", single or double smoked.
Prefinished means you cannot sand the blocks after installation - so a rather level underfloor is needed - but you will have a very authentic parquet floor in your home, matching the period style perfectly!
Again in our Design Parquet Range leaflet you will find all colours in this new range portrait as best as possible.

Our Design Parquet manufacturer not only produces the so-called overlay flooring (6.2 - 10mm thick wood blocks and strips). They and we can also provide you with 10mm solid Tongue and Groove 'Equi Classic' Parquet in various wood-types and either as block (with left and right T&G for herringbone patterns) or as wood strips up to 1000mm long.

Restoring/renovating an old property and in need of 'Old-Fashioned' Mosaic wood-blocks (the so-called finger mosaic)?

Or why not consider a Solid Mosaic floor as brand new floor-covering? The trend nowadays is "Retro" anyway. Simple mosaic wood floors were very "in" in the early 50 - 60's, have stand the test of time and will do so again.

We have various wood-types available from our showroom and on-line:
Oak Natural and Rustic, Maple, Wenge and others in 5 or 7 finger blocks

Please note that due to the, to be applauded and supported, clampdown on Deforestation the demand for Tropical wood from sustainable sources - from Reforestation projects - has seen an immense increase, and the finger mosaic in some tropicial species, like Teak or Merbau, are extremely difficult to source.
At the moment we can get hold of most species but you might experience longer lead-times (up to 3 months is not uncommon!)

We also have many different Parquet borders available for you to accentuate your bespoke parquet flooring even more.

But it's not only wood in design patterns we can supply/install for you: we frequently receive requests to source missing amounts in wood strips, blocks or planks in specific measurements for renovation-projects, sizes or wood types normally not available from the mainstream supply-lines. 

Specialised machinery for special sizes

With help from our (Dutch) manufacturer we can provide - bespoke - flooring matching in size in various wood-types. Among these are 10mm wood blocks in Oak, Teak, Afzelia, Merbau from 50 to 90mm wide cut in any lengths or 10 - 14mm wood strips with T&G's. 
(N.B. colour differences between new and old blocks, strips will be noticeable in the beginning)
