Wooden floors have been around for ages, "manufactured" with traditional methods and tools, allowing the raw-materials to take their own time to dry out and mature to their own characteristic appearance. Whole crafts established themselves over the centuries.
However (or perhaps unfortunately) these days are long gone. But the interest in olden floors and especially the old patinas and colours is experiencing a renaissance: new floors (floorboards and wood blocks) "manipulated" to look age old without having to wait to you grow old yourself.
There are two type of Aged wooden floors:
- highlighting the old patinas/colours (aged)
- highlighting the "battered" appearance (distressed)
Wood You Like caters for both type of Aged Wooden Floors, all and only from specially selected manufacturers/suppliers known for their continuing  quality control and high standards. These floors combine a homely, aged appearance with modern convenience.
Grigio Range - Aged Floors with authentic patinas
Specially selected Oak treated with re-discovered old grey (Grigio is Italian for grey) painters pigments in 5 colours:
- Grigio Antique Red
- Grigio Old Brown
- Grigio Pure Grey
- Grigio Valed Grey
- Grigio Slate Grey
Standard available as multi-layered wood-engineered board 18mm thick with 6mm Solid Oak top-layer (with unique dark tongue!), ready to be installed in most areas and circumstances. Even in your kitchen and on underfloor heating systems.

Distressed wood-engineered boards
Adding extra cachet to many of our Wood-Engineered floors the Distressed range represents a sturdy (load-beading) wood-engineered floor type in various colours, all chastised to give the impression it has been in your home for ages.

The colours available might sound familiar - our manufacturer gives you now the option to "colour-coordinate" different floor types: same colour, different construction. These colours are also available in the Basic and Multi-layer Range.
- smoked and oiled natural - distressed 200 or 260mm wide boards
- smoked and oiled white - distressed 200 or 260mm wide boards
- oiled white - distressed 200mm wide boards
- oiled natural - distressed 200mm wide boards
And there's more aged choice: in The Old Manor range you will find pre-finished tongue & grooved distressed blocks measuring 10 x 70 x 350mm in a mutlitude of finishes:
- Natural
- Colour oils: white, grey, red, black
- Single Smoked natural
- Single Smoked with colour oils: white, grey, red, black
- Double Smoked natural
- Double Smoked with colour oils: white, grey, red, black
so bound to have that specific appearance you are after.

And then of course we are still able to supply you with the original antique aged and hand-scraped wood-engineered floors (20.5mm or 15mm thickness) finished in various hardwaxoil colours.
