Having a wood floor adds not only comfort to your home, it is a know fact it adds value - long term value - to your house.
In olden days wooden floors were pretty common, from floorboards (with or without T&G) to mosaic and design parquet floors.
However, when wall-to-wall carpet came in fashion many original floors were covered up and only recently these "hidden treasures" are being rediscovered.
Not all are still in a decent state, many show the heritage of carpet-grippers, plumbing or other building activities.
Over the last few months we have received many questions on how to restore/repair or clean a rediscovered original hardwood floor and we've produced 2 simple guides for this purpose:
"7 Easy Steps to Repair/Restore your Parquet Floor"
"3 Easy Steps to Clean and Maintain your parquet Floor"

At the same time new aged and distressed (destressed) floors - Oak smoked in various warm dark colour - is becoming very fashionable. And that's the authentic look many restorers are trying to achieve on their original old floor.
However, when sanding is needed during this restoration not only the old finish layers, some of the scratches/damages and height differences are removed - the original authentic patina is removed too. Even using a coloured HardWaxOil like 'Oak Smoked' will not bring back this patina.
So instead of an original and authentic aged wood floor many end up in a strange mixture of new and 'battered'.
Not any longer!
Let us introduce the Ageing Wood Concept for original Oak floors (Duoline Verouderingsspray).
 |
This concept - based on the reaction of the tannic (tanned) acid in your Oak floor with this unique and patented spray - will prepare your wood for that authentic aged look your authentic floor deserves!
That's Step 1 of the concept. |
 |
 |
Step 2 conserves (seals) the wood for long term protection and adds an authentic colouring to the floor - and there are as many warm dark colours to choose from as in the new "aged & destressed" ranges. |
 |
 |
Step 3 of the concept will make your floor dirt and moist repellent. |

|
| |
The beauty of the Ageing Wood Concept is that this original and authentic appearance can be done on site and will only take 1 - 1.5 day to achieve!
It's as simple as that! |
